Artemis: Cast Iron
In September 2024, I had to undergo a double mastectomy with reconstruction due to my BRCA genetic mutation.
Before losing this part of my body, I cast it in iron.
I did it for preparation,
as a remembrance,
and as a shield for the pain that comes with loss.
